Martial Arts
Human combative sports date back to ancient times, there are cave paintings that depict humans in combat. The Greeks and Egyptians had wrestling as a sport.
Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War” dates back to C. 350 BCE, so combat and combative sports have been around for centuries.
The modern martial arts have roots in these ancient sports. While many have maintained a link to the past most if not all the different variations of martial arts have evolved and changed to reflect more modern approaches as the centuries have progressed.
There are many forms of martial arts available to students today, and these include but are not limited to:
- Taekwondo
- Karate
- Brazilian Juijitsu
- Boxing
- Judo
- Wing Chun
